In 2008, an 11-year-old boy with a promising future, intelligent, good at numbers, a lover of soccer and video games. Suddenly, due to a virus that causes very high fevers, he suffers irreversible neurological damage. This child's name is Estuardo Antonio Monzón Fuentes, lovingly called Tonito by his family and friends.
Due to this neurological condition and while the diagnosis was identified, it was necessary for Tonito to be admitted to a hospital for three months assisted with artificial respiration to sustain his life.
During this time, Angélica Fuentes, his mother, like many mothers facing similar situations, sacrificed her own well-being, her job, her personal projects and her time to dedicate herself completely to caring for her son. While his father Elmer Monzón focused on working long hours to generate what was necessary to pay for what was necessary in the hospital and at home with 3 other children.

It was very encouraging for the Monzón Fuentes family to think back then that after a few months Tonito would be the same again, however, it is very hard to accept a reality, and it is even harder to accept it quickly. Needless to say, life was never normal again for Tonito, he lost each of his physical and mental abilities. In addition to not having an accurate diagnosis of the disease. The only certainty was that life had completely changed for him and his family.
In the following years, with a lot of effort on the part of Tonito and his family, he walked again and recovered certain physical and mental abilities. This was clearly a joint effort with Guatemalan institutions, for which Tonito's family is extremely grateful.
During that arduous journey, the Monzón Fuentes family discovered a reality that they could not ignore: many Guatemalan families face similar situations, but they lack the resources and support necessary to provide their loved ones with comprehensive care. Lack of access to specialized services, difficulty finding adequate information, and financial limitations are obstacles that prevent many people with neurological diseases from reaching their full potential.
It was in this context that Suena Sin Límites was born, an organization inspired by the story of Tonito and within the Monzón Fuentes Family, with the deep desire to provide hope, support and opportunities to those who need it most.
It was born with the intention of turning a difficult family experience into hope and providing wonderful opportunities to other families. It was born with the desire to fulfill a promise made to God to transform a trial of pain into an opportunity to bless other families who have to walk the same path.
Every step we take, every project we undertake, is a tribute to Tonito and the bravery of all the people who with similar neurological conditions fight every day. Together we can turn pain into hope, limitation into opportunity and build a more inclusive Guatemala, where everyone can dream without limits.
